Malmö Museums
Malmö Museums is one of southern Sweden's largest museum complexes, combining history, art, science, technology and natural history in a unique setting around the historic Malmöhus Castle. With exhibitions for both adults and children, it is one of Malmö's most popular attractions all year round.
Malmöhus Castle
Built during the 16th century, Malmöhus Castle is the oldest surviving Renaissance castle in Scandinavia. Throughout its history it has served as a royal residence, fortress and prison before becoming the home of Malmö Museums.
Today the castle houses exhibitions covering Malmö's history, natural history, decorative arts and changing temporary exhibitions.
Science & Maritime House
The Science & Maritime House explores technology, transport and Malmö's maritime heritage through interactive exhibitions. One of the highlights is the opportunity to step aboard the historic U3 submarine, a favourite among visitors of all ages.
Hands-on exhibits make this section especially popular with children and families.
The Aquarium
Discover colourful tropical fish, reptiles, amphibians and other fascinating animals from around the world. The aquarium is one of the museum's most visited attractions and is especially appreciated by younger visitors.
Malmö Art Museum
Also located within Malmöhus Castle, the Malmö Art Museum features one of Sweden's finest collections of Nordic art, ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary works.

Plan Your Visit
The museum complex is located next to Slottsparken and Kungsparken, just a short walk from Malmö city centre. Most visitors spend several hours exploring the various exhibitions, making it an excellent destination regardless of the weather.
