Public Transport

Malmö has an excellent public transport system operated by Skånetrafiken. Modern city buses, regional buses and trains make it easy to travel around Malmö, throughout Skåne and across the Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen.

Most visitors can comfortably explore the city without a car. Public transport is reliable, frequent and connects all major attractions, shopping areas, Malmö Arena, Hyllie, Copenhagen Airport and Copenhagen city centre.

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased quickly and easily using the Skånetrafiken app, at ticket machines located at major train stations, or at Skånetrafiken Customer Centres.

Contactless payment is also available on Malmö city buses for single journeys.

Regional Trains

Frequent regional trains connect Malmö with Lund, Helsingborg, Ystad, Kristianstad, Copenhagen Airport and Copenhagen. The journey from Malmö Central Station to Copenhagen Airport takes approximately 20 minutes, while Copenhagen Central Station can be reached in about 35 minutes.
