Police surveillance will increase at Israel's embassy in Stockholm, as well as at other locations in Sweden's three largest cities.

Police are increasing security efforts at Israeli and Jewish locations in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

This comes after shots were fired towards the Israeli embassies in Stockholm and Copenhagen on Tuesday evening.

Malmö police's spokesperson Nils Norling says the aim is to show the public they're there, so people in these areas feel safe.
