Malmö on alert as city prepares for Eurovision

Malmö police is collaborating with other Swedish and Nordic police departments to patrol the city during Eurovision week.

A high police presence, and cordoned off areas affecting traffic are some of the things locals and visitors to Malmö can expect during Eurovision week.

Ulf Nilsson, Security Chief at the city of Malmö, underlines the no-handbag rule and security checks at the three main Eurovision areas.

"We're collaborating within Swedish and with Nordic police to do this safely", says Petra Stenkula of Malmö Police Department.
