Lyssna: Fewer shootings in Malmö means more time for prosecutors to investigate other crimes

Levels of gun crime in Malmö have fallen drastically over the last few years. In 2017 there were 65 shootings - so far this year, there have been 19, two of them fatal, according to statistics from the police.

Chief prosecutor Ola Sjöstrand told Swedish Radio's local channel in the city: "Since these were crimes of the most severe kind, we had to put a lot of resources there."

He now hopes that more time can be spent investigating...
