Malmö FF wins men's Allsvenskan football league

Malmö FF won gold after their final game against Halmstad this weekend.

The Swedish mens' football championship, also known as Allsvenskan, was settled this weekend when Malmö FF won gold for the 22nd time.

Jan Jönsson, journalist at local newspaper Sydsvenskan, says the team got "financial muscles" to build the club for the future, thanks to also playing in the European Champions League.

"They managed to get people to the games who normally don't go to football" says Jönsson.
