The shooting happened in a residential area, something the police say makes the incident more serious.

One person has died after being injured in a shooting in a residential area in Malmö on Sunday where three more men were also hurt.

"Several people called the police last night just before 7 pm with reports of a shooting in a residential area in Malmö. When the police arrived, they discovered one injured man who was taken to hospital in an ambulance," said Swedish Radio reporter Anna Bubenko.
