Extradited Swede formally arrested for attempted murder

Malmö district court.

A Swedish neo-Nazi, arrested in Ukraine last November and extradited to Sweden this week, was on Wednesday placed under formal arrest in Sweden by a Malmö court, suspected of attempted murder.

In March 2014, two men and two women were attacked late at night in Malmö. They were walking home from a feminist demonstration themed "Reclaim the night", when they were attacked. Two of them sustained life-threatening injuries. Football supporter Showan Shattack had to be operated six times for a fractured scull.

"I have had to re-learn everything," he told news agency TT a year ago.
