Öresundståg cancels departures from Copenhagen

From January 4 the Öresundståg rail operator will no longer carry passengers from the Danish capital Copenhagen to Malmö in southern Sweden.

Instead those who wish to travel across across the Öresund?s Bridge will have to board the train at Copenhagen?s Kastrup Airport.

The move comes because of the Swedish government?s decision to force all passengers to go through ID checks, in an effort to stem the numbers of refugees entering Sweden from Denmark. Passengers will have to get to Kastrup by other means, before going through the ID check at the airport.
