Train traffic on the West Coast mainline is experiencing severe disruptions on Friday due to a fallen overhead power line. Train routes, including Stockholm to Oslo, Copenhagen and Gothenburg are affected.

The overhead power line fell down on a busy stretch of track between Flen and Katrineholm and the Swedish Transport Administration hopes to have it fixed by midday, although the delays will likely continue for the rest of Friday afternoon.

The problem is affecting long-distance trains on several sections and has led to delays, cancellations and diversions of rail traffic in both directions on the West Coast mainline.
