Two toddlers injured after fall from third floor window

Two small children were seriously injured when they fell out of a third floor apartment window in Malmö on Thursday afternoon.

Police in Skåne said that the children, aged two and four, received serious but not life-threatening injuries. When the accident occurred, there were no adults in the apartment, but another sibling was at home, according to news Agency TT.

"This is a serious and tragic event. We are working to establish what happened," said Stephan Söderholm at Malmö police, to Aftonbladet.

The accident happened at about 16:30.
