The police's national operative unit has decided that the officers who are standing guard outside synagogues and other Jewish facilities in Sweden should be armed with sub-machine guns, newspaper Svenska Dagbladet reports.

Shortly after the weekend's shootings in Copenhagen, the national operative unit, NAO, decided that police should monitor Jewish facilities such as synagogues, schools and stores to prevent something similar happening here.
