Police suspect security guards of assaulting 9-year-old

After 12 people reported two security guards to the police, they are now suspected of assaulting a 9-year-old boy in Malmö station.

"We will pursue the case by interrogating the suspects", says police spokesperson Linda Pleym to newspaper Aftonbladet.

A video shot by a passer-by, which shows two security guards wrestling the boy to the ground and apparently beating his head against the floor of the train station, has sparked widespread outrage.

At first police said there was no reason to take up the case, but now say they have changed their minds.
