No organised crime suspected behind white powder envelopes

Police does not suspect any organised crime behind the envelopes containing a white powder, that has been sent to a range of authorities, companies and private persons over the last few weeks.

"No clear connection or pattern can be seen, apart from it being a white powder that has been sent," said Håkan Wall of the police's national operative unit, NOA.

Since the 5th of January, when the Enforcement Office in Malmö received an envelope with white powder, nine similar incidents, with 16 different letters, have been reported. The national operative unit has checked whether there have been any...
