Passenger plane near collision with foreign military plane

There was a close call in the Swedish skies south of Malmö on Friday, as a foreign military plane flying with its transponder turned off almost collided with a passenger plane, according to the website of the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

The passenger plane had recently lifted off from the Danish airport, Kastrup, when the military air traffic control noticed an "invisible" plane in the area.

"It could have ended really badly," Micael Bydén, chief of the Swedish Air Force told the newspaper.
