Controversial artist Dan Park's prison term halved

Provocateur and Swedish street artist Dan Park had his sentence reduced from 10 to 5 months in prison for his crimes of incitement to racial hatred.

News agency TT reports that the appeal court reduced sentence which was handed down after Park exhibited insulting pictures targeted at Africans and Roma in Malmö and elsewhere.

In recent years, Park has been convicted three times of hate speech and defamation. In August, he and gallery owner Henrik Rönnquist were convicted of incitement to racial hatred. Park was sentenced to 6 months in prison. Rönnquist was placed on probation and fined.
