Swedish quarantine airports ready to receive Ebola patients

While there are routines in place for dealing with suspected Ebola cases among passengers heading to Sweden, there are no plans to follow the UK and the US in introducing airport screenings.

Several airports in the UK and the US have started screening passengers coming in from Ebola-stricken regions of West Africa. Such screenings are not yet on the cards for Swedish airports, partly because there are no direct flights from those African countries to Sweden.

However, there are strict routines for dealing with situations where a passenger onboard a plane to Sweden is suspected of being infected with Ebola.
