West coast trains stalled

En electricity fault in Varberg on the west coast is causing problems for people travelling between Gothenburg and Malmö this Sunday. According to the latest prognosis the problem should be alleviated by 2 pm.

Since 8 am on Sunday morning there is a complete halt for all trains between Gothenburg and Halmstad. Trains from Malmö turn south again in Varberg or Falkenberg. Replacement buses have started running, but the Swedish Transport Administration is expecting delays. Repairs are taking place, and are estimated to be finished by 2 pm.
