Police say the child's school raised the alarm when he didn't show up to class.

A man aged in his 50s has been detained under suspicion of murdering a woman and a boy, who were found dead at a house in Hörby, northeast of Malmö.

The man is suspected on reasonable grounds, which in Sweden is a lower grade of suspicion.

Police say the child's school raised the alarm when he didn't show up to class on Tuesday morning.
