Lyssna: Reaching families outside of pre-school system a struggle, despite new law

By law all Swedish municipalities since the summer of 2023 are obliged to work actively toward enrolling children into preschool.

Despite that, some parents have been impossible to reach, Swedish Radio News reports.

And in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, of those offered a place, only 15 percent then enrolled their child into preschool.
