Powerful winds and heavy snow have led to several crashes and cars driving off the roads in the Skåne region of southern Sweden.

Maria Mattson, traffic reporter for Swedish Radio's local channel in Malmö, says that she hasn't seen this many cars sliding off the road in her entire career.

"The stretch where most accidents are taking place is the E6 between Malmö and Ängelholm", she says, recommending that those who do not have to drive stay at home.
