Prices for short-term rentals in Malmö during next year's Eurovision have skyrocketed.

It currently costs around SEK 9,000 a night to rent a home or apartment in Malmö during next year's Eurovision festivities.

On one of the largest sites for short-term rentals, prices for the month of May have increased to over five times more than the average price in April.

However Ulrika Blomqvist, CEO of the organisation Bostadsrätterna, says if you don't have permission to rent out your apartment you can run the risk of losing your home.
