The number of shootings and explosions in Malmö has gone down by between 40 - 60 % since the preventative crime strategy Sluta Skjut, or 'Stop Shooting' was introduced in 2018.

But according to a new study by Malmö University and the National Council for Crime Prevention, it cannot be said with certainty if the Sluta Skjut programme is the reason for the fall.
