Non-Swedish speakers are unable to give blood in Skåne, even though the region is experiencing a severe blood shortage, Swedish Radio P4 Malmöhus reports. English-speaking residents in Stockholm have been able to donate blood since 2019, since the nurses there have attended extra English classes, but this is not the case in many other regions. Aleksandar Kolevski wanted to become a blood-donor, and said he was puzzled when he was rejected.
