Lyssna: Cities upset over high-speed rail plan placing stations on outskirts

Cities along a planned high-speed rail line are upset over a recent proposal that places many of its new stations outside of city centers.

Critics reacting to a draft plan from the Swedish Transport Administration say putting stations on the outskirts of towns defeats the purpose of having the high-speed link in the first place.

The administration is tasked with planning, building and maintaining the high-speed railways between Stockholm and Gothenburg and Stockholm and Malmö.
