This week's colder weather is a concern for potato and apple growers in the south of the country.

The combination of warm sunny spring days in April and frosty nights in May is spreading anxiety among farmers in Skåne who rely on consistent weather at this time of year when their crops are at their most sensitive.

"There's a great risk that there will be a shortage of fresh new potatoes for Midsummer," potato farmer Per-Erik Bengtsson tells P4 Malmö.
