A drug originally devloped to combat ebola will be tested on seriously ill corona patients in Sweden.

The Swedish Medical Products Agency has given the go-ahead for the medicine Remdesivir to be tested against the corona virus. The final hurdle, a stamp of ethical approval, iis expected to go through on Monday and after that the drug will be tested on patients who are seriously ill in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
