The number of explosions involving criminal activity has increased dramatically in Sweden

Sweden has seen the number of explosions in criminal activities leap up over the past two years.

Only this week bombs exploded at apartment blocks in northwestern suburbs of Stockholm and the town of Norrköping.

257 such cases were recorded in 2019, a jump from 162 the previous year. Before that such explosions weren't even given a separate category in crime statistics.

Many of the explosions, using grenades and home-made bombs, were occuring in the city of Malmö....
