Lyssna: Sweden's high speed train plans criticised by auditors

It's set to be Sweden's biggest single investment, costing SEK 250 billion.

But the national audit office which has gone through the state's planning process for the high speed rail link project between Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, says the usual steps for assessing cheaper alternatives have not been followed.

Riksrevisionen's audit director Ingemar Delveborn tells Radio Sweden that no decisions should be made on high speed trains until investigations have been conducted thoroughly.
