As e-scooter numbers rise, so do accidents

More people are being injured in e-scooter accidents.

The number of registered accidents with e-scooters is up to 241 already this year, compared to 21 for all of last year.

Christian Engvall, acting chief of the emergency ward at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö, told Swedish Television that he sees facial injuries such as fractures and grazes.

Infrastructure minister Tomas Eneroth told the broadcaster that more regulation is needed.
