Lyssna: Ali Omumi ruling overturned

The engineer who was deported by the Swedish Migration Agency on the grounds of lack of insurance has had his verdict overturned by the Migration Court in Malmö today.

Ali Omumi and his family were denied entry to Sweden last summer even though his employment at ABB fulfilled all work visa requirements.

Fredrick Bergman, manager for the centre of justice and spokesperson for Ali Omumi, says he is alarmed at the Swedish Migration Agency's quarantine rule and says they need to rethink their position.
