Monday evening's shooting at a cybercafé was unusually close to the city centre. Ryan Vasiliades, 25, from Australia, was in the nextdoor restaurant when the shooting began.

"We just heard the gunshots, weren't really sure what it was, thought it might have been fireworks," he says. "Then we looked out of the curtain and everyone was running and screaming."
