Officers carrying machine guns were posted outside two police stations in Malmö over the weekend. Local police say the decision was made to ward off retributive attacks from criminal groups.

According to Nils Norling, press spokesman for Malmö police, the decision was taken to station the officers outside the station in the district of Rosengård and offices in Sällerupsvägen because of raids planned over the weekend.
