New law eases pressure on councils with many immigrants

The number of recent arrivals to Sweden who arrange their own accomodation rather than being placed by the authorities, has fallen dramatically this year, bringing relief to areas popular among immigrants.

According to Sweden?s Migration Agency, the number of people choosing where they want to live and then arranging their own accommodation has more than halved since December to around 3,000 people.
